Rajputana Customs was founded by Vijay Singh in 2009. He graduated from the university and wanted a bike for himself but there was nothing he really liked on the market. Vijay went ahead and asked Royal Enfield for an engine to build a custom bike around. After four months of work the first custom motorcycle by Rajputana Customs was finished and ready to ride. Since then, the guys at the workshop have been working with different bikes repairing, customizing and creating all kinds of projects from scratch.
As Vijay explains, “Jordaar” means “an outstanding machine“. Powered by HD Iron 883 Sportster‘s engine this low, stretched Bobber is one of the latest projects of RC. It took 8 months to build this one: 6 for the actual building process and 2 for finishing (painting, upholstering etc).
To achieve such proportions and desired look the frame was designed and built from scratch. The front end got a very special treat. It looks really interesting because of the unique linkage suspension which, besides its functionality adds something aggressive and unusual to the whole construction.
RC’s owner says he finds inspiration in the spirit of the place he lives – Rajasthan. Everything from home interior to palaces can ignite something inside and give some ideas for new builds. The team always integrate some parts of their culture into the motorcycles they create – it makes them absolutely unique and unforgettable.
The levers are made of Damascus steel (as some other parts like nuts and bolts covers) and feature beautiful weaves. Nice upholstery work along with painting, great design and unorthodox approach – it all resulted in this outstanding ‘Jordaar‘ machine.
This bike might not be that comfortable to ride on the bumpy roads but get it on the nice and smooth one and it’ll be a real joy, says Vijay.
