Moto Guzzi V7 Racer with its style and pure vintage look can be easily confused with an old 70’s sport motorcycle. And you’d have all the rights to think so, because, despite the new technology and innovations that were applied to this model, V7 Racer still retains a lot of features that take you back to old times or at least remind you of an old movie where you could see a very similar bike.
If your weakness is retro motorcycles, the first exceptional things that you will probably notice are: a single saddle seude seat, a powerful motor and a notably located number plate. The combination of red, gray and black colors, perfectly chosen for particular bike parts, make an impression that designers wanted to highlight particular details to make you see each of them and at the same time how all of them match together.
For those who like old sport bikes, it’s probably clear that Moto Guzzi V7 Racer keeps lots of features of the café racer motorcycles that were popular in the 50s and 60s. However, now this beautiful bike is more powerful and topped off with modern engineering, so you can enjoy the riding even more.
V7 Racer comes with 750cc, 90-degree V-Twin engine that was once introduced by Italian engineer Lino Tonti and still uses its original layout but improved and updated. The engine characteristics that I should mention and that were announced by Moto Guzzi company are greater torque and power than ever, even at low rpms and also higher fuel economy. This classic 90° V engine also does less damage to the environment because of the reduced emission.
Six split spoke aluminum wheels is one more thing that makes the bike look “retro”. Cast aluminium wheels wouldn’t make such effect as well as the front forks without gators. Three 7s – one over the front light and the other two on the back on both sides perfectly finish its classic vintage sport style.
Moto Guzzi V7 Racer with the fuel tank capacity of 5.8 gallons (22 litres) and low consumption can drive a very long distance – up to 310 miles (almost 500km) without refueling. Chrome fuel tank, with a studded leather strap is practical and absolutely gorgeous at the same time. Better metallic construction allows it to be light and hold a great amount of fuel.
So, here you can see how classic sporty design can be combined with the modern technology in one vehicle. Feisty motor, retro spirit and all its beauty can give you nothing but joy.
