Meet another Yamaha bike. Today I introduce you to SR400, customized by AN-BU Japanese workshop. Unlike Yamaha XJR1200 that was featured earlier, this one is based around the original frame and the bodywork isn’t that changed and still retains a lot from the donor.
It’s safe to say that this creative custom Type 3 rocket fairing has greatly elongated the front end, thereby making the bike look “ready to surge” right away. I bet, it suits her even more, when she hits the road.
A smaller head-light was fitted underneath the fairing and has been moved a few inches forward. AN-BU got rid of side panels, losing needless weight and revealing K&N filter. Along with the intake, the exhaust system has also been slightly modified and customized by using AN-BU’s Type 1 muffler and wrapping the pipe with a beige thermal wrap.
A leather solo seat was designed to meet the customer’s requirements.
The back looks great without a rear fender and packs now a set of two tiny indicators, a tail-light, peering out from the rear cowl, and a high mounted license plate.
Both wheels are shod in Dunlop GT501 tires. The fuel tank and the fairing color change slightly according to the light from dark gray to shiny blue.
Feel free to visit the AN-BU website and find more pictures of Yamaha SR400.
