Here is a neatly executed shed build by Wayne Huffer. Wayne lives in Northamptonshire, England and works at a body shop restoring and painting fancy cars like Aston Martins and Bentleys. Without any special equipment or big budget, this Yamaha XS400SE took him a few years to finish. Although this is just a hobby the cafe racer looks more like it was designed and assembled by a team of professionals.
The bike has a lot of trick bits and went through many modifications that, as Wayne says, at first glance are hard to notice. The rear half of the frame was made from scratch, the battery is now located under the swing arm (you can see it better in the second picture). The wheels are 18″ Avon – 110 front and 130 rear. As for brakes, the disc and caliper are from Ducati 748.
Colors are well combined too: black for the most of the parts and snow white with blue covered the tank which, along with the seat, forms the organic whole. The rims got a nice brown.
Wayne wants to do an XS 650 some day. For more info check out his Instagram account.
